About the role
The Director D position is a seat on the Clayton House Inc. Board of Directors. As a director, you will help guide a 40-year-old Jonesboro nonprofit that provides Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Al-Anon, and community referral services across Clayton County. This is a volunteer governance role for someone who cares about recovery and community.
Responsibilities
- Attend all board meetings and the three annual stockholder meetings (May, September, and January).
- Provide governance and oversight to support Clayton House Inc.'s mission of recovery support and community referrals.
- Help steward the 17,000+ sq ft facility that serves the Jonesboro recovery community.
- Act as an ambassador for Clayton House in the broader Clayton County community.
What we're looking for
The successful candidate is responsible to attend all board meetings. We prefer candidates with maintenance skills to help care for our facility.
- Maintenance skills — carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or general facility upkeep — to help care for our building.
- A heart for recovery and community service.
- Reliable attendance and a collaborative spirit.
